President of the Board
Scott Salkin is the Founder and CEO of IDS Technology Marketing, a business-to-business (B2B) marketing and lead generation firm whose mission is twofold:
- to help technology companies and startups grow through smart, impactful marketing, lead generation and sales and
- to help local communities and economies grow through technology and entrepreneurial advocacy and mentorship.
In 2007, he decided to turn his passion for technology, sales and marketing and his unique mix of left-brained creativity and right-brained proficiency into his first startup, IDS. Starting with a dream, a laptop and a priceless support network of colleagues and friends and family, Scott turned IDS into a multi-million dollar operation in only three years.
Scott was listed as one of Arizona’s “Top 35 Entrepreneurs Under 35” and was recognized in 2013 as the Phoenix Business Journal and Business Marketing Association (BMA) Marketer of the Year. He currently serves as President for the Phoenix chapter of the BMA, Co-Chair for the Arizona Technology Council’s Startup and Entrepreneurship Committee, is an active board member for Playworks Arizona, volunteers as a mentor for several Arizona’s accelerators and incubators, and volunteers through the Arizona Education Foundation as a business mentor for the administration and staff at Tavan Elementary School in Scottsdale, AZ.
In his role as CEO and Founder at IDS, Scott continues to help guide the firm’s overall direction and strategy while also working on several other soon-to-launch initiatives and maintains a steady speaking regimen at marketing, sales, entrepreneurship and technology events in Arizona and across the county.
Matt is VP of Strategy and Marketing Services at Elevation Marketing, a business-to-business focused marketing communications and sales support firm in Mesa. A native of Wisconsin, Matt launched his professional career and quickly developed his talents in advertising agencies in the Milwaukee-area, before relocating in 2009 to Phoenix.
Anthony is the Head of Marketing at Gainsight, a Silicon Valley based software company whose mission is to deliver technology and best practices to help drive Customer Success in the $500B subscription economy. He’s spent the last five years focused on the enterprise cloud application and security spaces, building solutions and partnering with the leading brands in the enterprise software industry.
Charlie Babb is an accomplished marketing executive with over 25 years experience, developing high-performing marketing programs. Charlie is experienced in many aspects of the technology industry including product marketing, channel marketing, software sales and managed services. He’s held senior level positions in sales and marketing for a number of start-up and large computer companies, including V.P. of Marketing for Avnet, a global technology distributor. Charlie holds a B.S.B.A from the University of Phoenix.
As the Director of Client Services at IDS Technology Marketing and a Founding Partner of GreenNurture, Lisa Burks brings more than 25 years of marketing and lead generation experience to the BMA board and plays an integral role in business development and marketing and VAR Channel efforts. When Lisa isn’t strategizing, one can find her spending time with family, gardening, camping and raising her German shepherd puppy.
Matt is the Business Development Manager for 29th Drive, a digital user experience design studio with the right combination of intensely creative, passionately technical, and relentlessly practical people to help you achieve your business goals, where he works on developing new projects through sales, marketing, and social media outreach. Matt also manages community relations and education efforts focused on UX Design, building and connecting the local technology community, and workforce development.
Sonia is the Senior Vice President for Brodeur Partners’ Phoenix office. Brodeur Partners is a strategic communications group specializing in public relations, branding and communications. Her team provides public relations and communications consulting for some of the agency’s largest business-to-business and consumer clients in the information technology, energy/clean tech, mobile applications and global supply chain industries. With more than fifteen years of marketing, communications and journalism experience, Sonia specializes in B2B/channel marketing, corporate communications, international account management and social media.
Patrick is the VP of Marketing and New Product Development at Redflex Traffic Systems, where he is responsible for the development of go-to-market plans for the organization’s new products and on-going marketing support for current product portfolio to include product support materials. Patrick’s career in B2B marketing and account management goes back to 1982, having spent time with firms including J Walter Thompson, Colgate-Palmolive, and Petsmart.
