Brad Whitworth, ABC, is a senior communications strategist with 25 years of experience in Fortune 20 companies, including HP and currently with Cisco. Cisco is an Avnet partner and a leader and in using social media to communicate with audiences both internally and externally, and Brad will provide an inside look at the business benefits – and risks – of using social media. By going beyond the buzz associated with Twitter and the hype of Facebook, Brad will share his perspective on what has worked (or not) for Cisco and others in building true business value using social media tools.

Following Brad, Avnet employees pioneering the use of forums, social networking sites, video portals, blogs and more will share what’s going on in Avnet today and how they are using social media tools to build relationships and drive growth.

This special session for Avnet’s global leaders and marketing professionals and BMA members interested in social media trends will be held on Wednesday, February 24th immediately following the close of Avnet’s 2010 Global Strategic Summit.
